Returning to Caldwell
|
Last November, nine members traveled to Caldwell in eastern Ohio to provide needed assistance to the people in that Appalachian community. In preparation for last year's trip, Overbrook collected over 1000 pounds of Winter clothing for distribution by Lutheran Social Services (LSS), the only religious group actively providing services in that area. On August 14, members of Overbrook, including some of the Faith and Action team are going back to Caldwell, OH, on another adult mission trip. In preparation for this year's trip we are collecting school supplies to help ensure that the children in that region will have the materials needed for going back to school in the Fall. The supplies are being collected on the four Sundays starting with July 18. LSS has identified the need for: notebooks, folders, backpacks, pencils, erasers, and any other new school supplies. Please contribute to the collection and contact Pastor Michael if you are interested in participating in this one-day mission trip.

Overbrook Presbyterian Church is a more than a gathering place for worship in Columbus, Ohio. Our activities include a preschool, Christian education classes, music choirs, and fellowship events.
