Victory Ministries, our January Mission of the Month, is a multi-faceted Family Assistance Center merging Emergency Assistance, Next Step Services, and Training initiatives with one goal in mind… breaking the cycle of poverty. Services include emergency food and clothing, tutoring, social worker services, life skills training, a free medical clinic, and pastoral counseling. How do they really help: Charlene, a recently retired hospital worker, had always managed on a limited budget. Unexpectedly, one of her sons and a daughter-in-law died, her teenage grandson needed care, and she was running out of food. When she turned to Victory Ministries, they provided food and hope that she would not have to carry her burden alone. How you can help: In addition to cash donations, volunteers are needed every day to bag groceries, sort and distribute clothing, or tutor a 1st or 2nd grade student.
