FOR YOUR INFORMATION

CHILDREN’S BULLETINS are available for ages 3-6 and 7-12.  They contain fun, age- appropriate activities related to today’s worship.  The bulletins, along with pencils or crayons, can be found on the table in the Narthex, or by asking an usher for assistance.

TODAY’S CONCERNED DEACON is Susie Belknap. Wearing a yellow carnation, she will be available in the Narthex to hear your concerns after the service. Stop by and say hello.

THE NEXT INQUIRERS’ CLASS will begin April 24 and run four consecutive Sundays when on May 15 candidates will be welcomed into the congregation. If you or someone you know would be interested in becoming a member, please call the church office.

CROSSOVER YOUTH please meet in the Narthex immediately following the worship service. We will go out to eat and then on to the course along the Scioto River to play some Frisbee golf. We will be back by 4:00 p.m.

NEW BEGINNINGS, a group for all singles, meets TODAY in the Library for a potluck luncheon immediately following the worship service.

PRESCHOOL ART SHOW AND OPEN HOUSE, TODAY from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Children’s art will be on display throughout the church. Come and see what good things God has done. There will also be a silent auction in the Parlor with 39 gift baskets to bid on.

THE PRESBYTERY OF SCIOTO VALLEY meets at 4:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church, Washington Court House.

THE MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST GROUP meets this Wednesday, April 20 at 7:30 a.m. at Scottie McBean’s in Clintonville. All men are welcome.

UPCOMING BIBLE STUDY ON THE BOOK OF REVELATION. Reverend Leety will lead the study. It will be held on Sunday mornings in the South Parlor at 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. The dates are April 24, May 1, 15, 29, June 5, 12. Please sign-up in the church office.

FOR 4TH NIGHT APRIL 24 we will have an Orthodox Easter Taize service led and cantored by Rev. Jon Siehl and accompanied by Joyce Beauvais and Suzanne Hayes. The L.I.F.T. group will continue our discussion of Colossians, Gnosticism and combating temptation. The Faith and Fiction group will be discussing Heading West by Doris Betts. Come and bring a friend who has never attended a Taize service.

HAVE YOU READ The Purpose Driven Life? We are still encouraging people to read this book. Three groups have read and discussed it and the most recent group will be meeting during the summer to continue their study. Please sign the list in the narthex if you are reading it at your own pace. No doubt you heard about the woman who while being held hostage in Atlanta, quoted to her captor the Bible and Chapter 33 of The Purpose Driven Life. It seemed to be what saved her life and changed the course of events.

CPR FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY will be offered at Overbrook on Tuesday, May 31st from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. A limited number of people will be able to participate. The cost is $10.00 per person. Please sign-up in the church office. If you have any questions, please call Sue Mooney at 268-7207. This is a great way to learn the basics of CPR.
