CHILDREN’S BULLETINS are available for ages 3-6
and 7-12. They contain fun, age-
appropriate activities related to today’s worship. The bulletins, along with pencils or crayons,
can be found on the table in the Narthex, or by asking an usher for assistance.
TODAY’S CONCERNED DEACON is wearing a yellow carnation and will
be available in the Narthex to hear your concerns after the service. Stop by
and say hello.
INQUIRERS’ CLASS ENDS TODAY! Session members will interview them prior to the service today when the new members will be received into the congregation. There will be a reception in the Parlor so that you may greet and welcome our new family members.
ADULT BIBLE STUDY CONCLUDES. Study of Second Isaiah chapters 40-55.
THE CROSSOVER YOUTH
will meet after the worship service to have a Super Bowl Party.
FOOD SUNDAY IS TODAY! This month’s contributions
will go to N.N.E.M.A.P (Near Northeast Emergency Material Assistance Program).
They have made a special request for the following items: Canned soups,
vegetables, beef stew and tuna fish; flour, dry beans, toilet paper, baby
cereal and formula. Grocery carts will be in the Narthex for your food
donations. If you forget your food but still want to make a donation, there
will be an envelope attached to the cart for your cash or checks. Thank you for
your support.

WANTED TO “TRY OUT” SINGING IN THE CHOIR? Now is your chance! The Chancel
Choir is preparing the Easter portion of Handel’s “Messiah”. Come join us for
rehearsal on Thursdays February 3, 10, 17, 24 and March 3 at 8:15 – 9:00 p.m.
Our final rehearsal is March 10 from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. Please, join us for as
many rehearsals as is possible!!
SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER – is Tuesday, February 8th from 5:00
– 7:00 p.m. Come, join the fun, visit with your neighbors and have pancakes,
sausage and fruit cup.
MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP will meet Wednesday, February 9, at 7:30 a.m.
at Scottie McBean’s in Clintonville. Come even if you haven’t read the
material.
CIRCLE 4 will meet February 9 at 9:30 a.m. in the Library to watch the video Gospel
of John.
THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT LENTEN SERIES begins February 9. Rev. Leety and Jean
Williams will lead a tour of our stained glass windows that approach topics
that Dr. Walter Bouman will address on succeeding Wednesdays. Because Jesus is
raised, we have the holy practices of The Creed, Holy Communion, Baptism, The
Lord’s Prayer, and the Ten Commandments. Dr. Bouman, from Trinity Seminary,
will go into depth about how these tools of the Holy Spirit make us more Christ-like.
For children in lower elementary grades a the Faith Weavers curriculum will be led.
Don’t miss this marvelous opportunity to hear Dr. Bouman speak. Bring
your friends along.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for the Wednesday Evening Lenten Series to do set up at 5:30 p.m. and clean up at 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday. Thank you to all who have signed up to make soup.
THE NEXT GENERATION group will meet Saturday, February 12th. This event is for adults only – Dinner at LaScala’s restaurant. Childcare will be provided at the church by the Crossover Youth (donations to go towards their summer mission project). Children may be dropped off at Overbrook between 6 and 6:30 p.m. (Pizza and drinks will be served) with adults to meet at LaScala at 7:00 p.m. for dinner. Please RSVP.
NEW BEGINNINGS, a group for all singles, will meet Sunday in the South Parlor for a potluck luncheon, immediately following the worship service. All are welcome even without food.
