CHILDREN’S BULLETINS are available for ages 3-6 and 7-12.  They contain fun, age- appropriate activities related to today’s worship.  The bulletins, along with pencils or crayons, can be found on the table in the Narthex, or by asking an usher for assistance.

 

TODAY’S CONCERNED DEACON is wearing a yellow carnation.  She will be available in the Narthex to hear your concerns after the service. Stop by and say hello.

 

CHANGE IN WORKING HOURS: Effective Monday, March 7th Victor Buadu’s hours will be Monday – Thursday 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and his hours on Saturday will be flexible. Victor is our accounting person and all questions regarding pledges, statements, payments, etc. should be directed to him.

ARTICLES FOR THE APRIL OVERBROOK WORLD need to be in the church office no later than Tuesday, March 15.

 

CIRCLE THREE will meet TODAY at 12:00 noon. The agenda will be “Let’s Get Organized.”

 

The Purpose Driven Life class is meeting in the South Parlor from 8:45 – 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings. If you are reading the book but can’t attend all of the sessions please come as you came The Introduction and Purpose 1 have already been discussed. Purpose 2 will be discussed March 20, Purpose 3 April 3, Purpose 4 April 10, Purpose 5 April 17.

 

CROSSOVER YOUTH MOVIE NIGHT. We will meet at 5:45 p.m. in Fellowship Hall for dinner and then we will go up to the Senior High room to watch a video or DVD. We will be done by 8:00 p.m.

 

CIRCLE TWO will meet on March 15, 9:30 a.m. in the Parlor. We will be going over Lessons 6 & 7 in the Horizons Bible Study Book.

 

OPEN SHELTER IS NOW SERVING LUNCH. Our Mission Committee has volunteered Overbrook to provide sack lunches for the first Monday of each month. The lunches can be prepared on Sunday afternoon and will taken down to Trinity Lutheran church on Monday morning. Several fellowship groups have shown an interest in helping with this worthwhile mission. A memo will be sent to all of those interested groups telling them of their scheduled date.

 

THE WEDNESDAY EVENING LENTEN SERIES – For the last presentation, March 16, Dr.Bouman will focus on the Ten Commandments. Please come even if you were unable to attend any of the others. There will be handouts summarizing the past sessions. All of the sessions were audio taped and tapes will be available.

 

MARCH 24, MAUNDY THURSDAY, COMMUNION SERVICE, AT 7:30 P.M. In the third stained glass window on the south side of the Sanctuary you see sandals, basin, laver, and towel, reminders of Jesus washing disciples’ feet. It meant at least a servant at their feet. Jesus said, “As I have done, do to one another.” Communion will be served during a short worship service.

 

GOOD FRIDAY, MARCH 25, AT NOON we invite you to join us in a brief time together to pray, mark a life ended, brace ourselves for another chapter. The office closes at 12:00.

 

EASTER LILIES ON SALE NOW! Easter comes early this year and now is the time to place your orders. The sign-up sheet is in the office. Order plants in memory or honor of someone close to you during this season of Lent. The price remains at $6.50 each and the deadline for ordering is March 23, 2005.

 

NO BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS TODAY! Due to the special choir presentation today, there will be no screenings today, but will be offered next Sunday, March 20 in Bill Leety’s office from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 – 12:00 p.m.

 

PREPARE TO DINE! The Youth Fellowship Groups will hold their Annual Italian Dinner on Saturday, March 19, 2005. The dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. Appetizers will be served in the Narthex and Dinner will be served in Fellowship Hall. We will serve salad, spaghetti, garlic bread, beverage and dessert! Ticket prices: Adults $5.00 and children up to age 11 $3.50. Tickets will be on sale in the Narthex this Sunday and each Sunday until the dinner.

 

WESTMINSTER-THURBER IS CELEBRATING THEIR 40th ANNIVERSARY with

a Dance. The Dance will be held, Friday, March 18, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. It will feature The Buckeye Ballroom Big Band and there will be 40 door prizes and more. RSVP to our Marketing Department @ 614-228-8888 – Registrations before the event will gain a bonus

prize entry! The church office has 3 complimentary tickets available.

 

PICTURE DIRECTORY IS COMING SOON! Sign up for pictures before or after the church service today, next Sunday, and Easter Sunday. Picture dates are May 13 & 14 and then again on May 19-22.

 

PETER COTTON TAIL WILL SOON BE HERE! Our Annual Easter egg hunt will be held Easter Sunday, March 27 at 9:30 a.m. in the Preschool Lobby. There will be three age categories in three different areas of the church grounds. Baskets will be provided. Peter Rabbit could use some help hiding the eggs. Call the church office if you can help.
