THIS WEEK AT OVERBROOK

CASSEROLE MINISTRY STARTING. Did you ever have a casserole or pot of soup delivered to your home when you were sick? Many of us have experienced that and found it to be wonderful. If you would like to be a part of this “casserole ministry”, please sign up in the office. The Concerned Deacon can enlist you following the service.

GIFTS FOR THE FUTURE UPDATE. Gifts to the annual stewardship for the next three years total $594,450. Capital gifts total $331,911. A campaign messenger will be calling to set up a visit with you. Please listen to what he or she has to say. Pray for successful accomplishment of our three-year goals. The gifts for the Future is a two-part endeavor. It is a Stewardship Campaign to fund church programs and ministries that make up the annual budget. Its goal is $540,000 annually over the next three years. It is also a Capital Funds Campaign for making improvements and repairs to the church building. Its goal is $750,000.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PRAYER                                              Reverend Jonathan C. Siehl

Creator God, you mint us in your image. You press into our being a spirit that mirrors your Spirit. Give us discernment to nurture impressions of spirit, to seek in the murky depths of our being stirrings of the spirit…love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. In generosity, we spend a coin of the realm in your kingdom. Turn your Spirit in us loose in your realm, that love may abound, Turn your Spirit in us loose in your kingdom here and now, that generosity may abound. Free up your spirit of generosity in us, that we may give our material wealth with abandon, for your kingdom in this church, in this city, in this place. Amen.
