THIS WEEK AT OVERBROOK

CASSEROLE MINISTRY STARTING. Did you ever have a casserole or pot of soup delivered to your home when you were sick? Many of us have experienced that and found it to be wonderful. If you would like to be a part of this “casserole ministry”, please sign up in the office. The Concerned Deacon can enlist you following the service.

OPERATION HOME BOUND. The families of the New Generation Group want to do a mission project this Christmas by making boxes or baskets of items to give to Overbrook home-bound members. If you would like to help by donating items, please see the complete list in the Narthex next to the decorated box. Some items Sue Mooney suggests are: writing pens, cards, note paper with envelopes, stamps, hard candy, hand lotion etc. Donations need to be in the box by December 4.

FRIENDSHIP CLASS BAKE SALE!  Christmas is a-comin’! … as if you didn’t know! But DO you know that Friendship Class is solving your Christmas baking this year? On Sunday, December 11, 2005, in the Narthex tables will be spread with cookies and candies for Christmas giving…or instant consumption.  You can help not only by buying items on sale (9:30—10:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m.--noon) to benefit Habitat for Humanity, but also by participating by donating your OWN baked goods to sell. All edibles will be accepted.  Unsold leftovers go to neighborhood food pantries.

DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR CHILDREN ARE?  For safety children cannot roam the church during Sunday morning service.  They need to be with a parent or other adult at all times. After the “Word with Children,” childcare is provided for ages 3 through 4th grade. Children 5th grade and older remain with parents for the remainder of the service.
