CHILDREN’S BULLETINS are available for ages 3-6 and 7-12.  They contain fun, age- appropriate activities related to today’s worship.  The bulletins, along with pencils or crayons, can be found on the table in the Narthex, or by asking an usher for assistance.

 

TODAY’S CONCERNED DEACON is Fred Connell. Wearing a yellow carnation, he will be available in the Narthex to hear your concerns after the service. Stop by and say hello.

 

THE CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LAST JOYTIME TODAY. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the committees of the church for assisting in making this years’ Joytime a success. The rotation curriculum will be a nice change for our Sunday School classes.

TODAY IS FOOD SUNDAY!  Donations go to Neighborhood Services. They have special need of canned meats, stew, hash, pasta, soup, canned vegetables and fruits; personal care items like deodorant, tooth paste and brushes, shampoo, diapers, baby food. Please place items along with your receipts in the grocery carts in the Narthex. There is an envelope on the front of the cart for donations in cash or check. We are still looking for a couple of volunteers to tally and deliver these monthly donations. Sign-up sheet is in the church office.

 

NEW GENERATIONS FELLOWSHIP GROUP meets Saturday, September 10 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. for a picnic at Highbanks Metropark.

 

HELP SAVE A LIFE! Central Ohio Red Cross must collect 650 units of blood a day to support patient needs in 36 hospitals. One day a year Overbrook helps meet that need. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH 12 – 6 P.M. IS OUR TIME. Our goal is 40 units. Let’s meet the goal! Sign up in the church office or call the church (261-1040) to make an appointment.

 

CIRCLE FOUR  meets Wednesday, September 14 at 9:30 a.m. in the church Parlor.

 

ADD A COUPLE II will go “Singing in September” on Friday, September 16. Meet at the church about 6:30 p.m. for a little “warm up” and then carpool to The Forum for an evening of singing. This will be old-time music that we all know. All are welcome to join us to help bring a few smiles and laughs to these folks.

 

“FOR EVERYTHING, A SEASON” The women of Overbrook and their friends are invited Saturday morning, September 17th at 10:00 a.m. in the Church Parlor for a friendly conversation with Rev. Linda McClanahan on the new Horizons study “For Everything, A Season.” Coffee and muffins will be served.

 

SAVE THE DATE!! The Stewardship Dinner will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. A concert of solo hand bell music featuring Stephen Smith will follow! We hope to see everyone there!
