All around us every minute there are messengers of God,

*HYMN # 478 Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven
*CONFESSION OF WHO WE ARE (unison) Seasons of the Spirit Congregational Life
We live in a broken world, God:
a world that too often ignores you,
a world that too often judges too
quickly,
a world of impatience and mistrust.
It is a world more concerned with
self-satisfaction
than with serving others and serving
you.
And we confess that often we are part of
the problem
and not the solution.
Forgive us. Transform us.
Bring us to new birth as your people,
empowered to proclaim your presence and
your truth
in our present age.
(time for silent, personal confession) Amen.
*ASSURANCE OF WHOSE WE ARE on Psalm 112/wrl
Leader: God’s
book on living includes not only righteous rules,
but also
generous forgiveness.
Remember what
has been revealed in Jesus Christ—
God’s love
and mercy, pardon and peace.
People:
Thanks be to God.
*THE PEACE
Leader: The peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with
you all.
People: Peace be with you.
(worshipers share words and gestures of
God’s peace)
