*CALL TO WORSHIP                                                     from Psalm 105: 1-7 (The Message)

Hallelujah! Thank God! Pray to him by name!

Tell everyone you meet what God has done!

Sing songs, belt out hymns, translate God’s wonders into music!

Honor God with Hallelujahs, you who seek God.

Live happy lives!

  Keep your eyes open for God, watch for God’s works;

Be alert for signs of God’s presence.

Remember this world of wonders, God’s creation,

Miracles God’s done and verdicts rendered--

He’s God, our God, in charge of the whole earth.

And God remembers, remembers the Covenant--

For a thousand generations as good as God’s word!

*PROCESSIONAL HYMN # 476 (Verses 1-4)     O Worship the King, All Glorious Above!

*CONFESSION OF WHO WE ARE (unison)                                    on Exodus 16: 1-20/wrl

Lord, we pray for daily bread,

but work to secure the years ahead,

forgetting that this day is the only one we have.

The past is gone, the future never secured.

Forgive our gathering more than we need for the day,

fooling ourselves into believing we can provide for the future,

when you alone are God of the Future.

(time for silent, personal confession) Amen.
