*CONFESSION OF WHO WE ARE (unison) Seasons of the Spirit, Congregational Life
Sometimes we wonder if God is with us or not.
We seldom ask ourselves if we are with God.
We often wonder what more God can do for us.
But neglect to ask what more we can do for God’s glory.
When we challenge others more than challenging our own
assumptions,
motives, and attitudes,
Lord, forgive us and help our fears.
For times when we discredit others for appearance or
status or imperfections,
Forgive us, God, and help us be humble.
Lord, may we see others as you see them.
May we discover your face in the faces of
those we encounter.
May we know that you are with us.
That you are building our faith.
(a time for
silent, personal confession) Amen.
