On this holiday, holy day, this Sabbath without our labor,
we praise God for labor and
laborers;
People: For people whose sweat mortars
streets and buildings,
homes and parks.
Leader:
For farmers who give our foods their starts;
People: For cooks and servers, waiters and
washers;
Leader:
Nurses and aides, teachers and toilers,
cleaners of
buildings and movers of trash.
People: Makers and mechanics, drivers
and fixers,
guardians of safety, performers
and mixers.
Leader:
And we praise Jesus, whose labor that day on a cross births our saving.

commandments:

You shall not covet”; and any other commandment,
are summed up in this word,

“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Love does no wrong to a
neighbor;
Therefore, love is the
fulfilling of the law.
