CHILDREN’S BULLETINS are available for ages 3-6
and 7-12. They contain fun, age-
appropriate activities related to today’s worship. The bulletins, along with pencils or crayons,
can be found on the table in the Narthex, or by asking an usher for assistance.
TODAY’S CONCERNED DEACON wearing a yellow carnation, she
will be available in the Narthex after worship to hear your concerns.
CONGRATULATIONS! On Friday, May 5, 2006 Jan Bundy will
receive the Church Women United – Church and Community Service Award. Her
countless hours being a Stephen Minster, coordinating the Interfaith
Hospitality Network and YWCA Family Center just to name a few are greatly appreciated.
A NOTE FROM VICTOR BUADU: When writing a check for a contribution to the Capital Campaign, please write “CC” or “Capital Campaign” on the memo line of the check or attach a note. Also, some of our members have asked about combining their pledges to the Operating Fund and to the Capital Campaign on the same check. Yes, you can write one check for the two pledges. Just note the amount to each fund on the memo line of your check.

MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP meets this Wednesday, May 3 at 7:30 a.m. at
Scottie MacBean in Clintonville. All men are welcome.
MAY 4 – NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER. Prayer Fellowship is hosting this day of
prayer between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. We need people to pray and
welcome those who come to pray in the Chapel. If you can come for an hour or
two, please call Karen at 457-6274.
“MUFFINS WITH MOM” – The Christian Education Committee would
like to invite all children and their mothers to attend our 2nd
Annual “Muffins with Mom” on Sunday, May 14th from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m.
in Fellowship Hall. There will be no Sunday School that day.
NEXT SUNDAY IS F.O.O.D. SUNDAY, MAY 7. This month’s contributions are designated for
NNEMAP. They request the following: tuna helper, pasta, instant or canned milk,
pork & beans, canned vegetables, salt & pepper, tea bags and lotion.
Please place items in the grocery carts in the Narthex. If you forget food, but
still want to make a donation, there is an envelope attached to the cart for
cash or checks payable to OPC.
OVERBROOK BELLES PERFORMING at The Greater
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! Our Annual Outside Spring Cleanup Day is
slated for Saturday, May 13 from 8:30 a.m. – Noon. Show your Overbrook Pride!
Together we can do our outdoor spring cleaning. No experience needed. Bring
rakes, gloves and knee pads if necessary and we will all get down to earth and
make something beautiful for Mother’s (Nature) Day.
CAROL CHOIR SINGERS AND PARENTS! Please save May 13 for our choir party. On
May 14, Mother’s Day, mothers will be singing with their children during the
worship service. You are cordially invited to attend the rehearsals on Sunday
April 30 and May 7 to rehearse with your children. We have more fun music to
share with you!! Thanks for all your wonderful support this year.
