9:00 A.M. BIBLE STUDY: Jon will continue with the study of Paul’s letter to the Galatians. We are using the Interpretation Series Bible Study.

 

9:30 A.M.  CHAPEL CLASS TODAY: Paul makes a case for generous giving: It’s enriching. (2 Cor. 9: 3-15)

       NEXT WEEK: Paul considers his physical problem as “a messenger from Satan.”

10:45 A.M. JOYTIME. Nominating Committee members will meet the children at the Sanctuary doors today following the word for children and take them to Room 101 for a Bible lesson, craft and snack. The Christian Education Committee is responsible for next Sunday’s Joytime.

BIBLE STUDY CONTINUES - Jon Siehl will continue with the study of Paul’s letter to the Galatians. We are using the Interpretation Series Bible Study. There will be no class August 27 as Jon is on vacation and he will let you know if he will continue on September 3.

 

DO YOU KNOW WHO IS SITTING BESIDE YOU? Take a few moments to make a name tag so that fellow worshipers will have the opportunity to meet and learn new names. Name tags and pens are available in the Narthex.

 

THE MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP meets this Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. at Scottie MacBean in Clintonville. All men are welcome.

 

JOYTIME NEXT SUNDAY is the responsibility of the Christian Education Committee. Someone will meet the children at the Sanctuary doors following the Word with Children and take them to Room 101 for a bible lesson, craft and snack.

 

LAST CHANCE TO JOIN THE SUMMER CHOIR. Anyone 7th grade on up is welcome. We practice on Sunday mornings at 9:30 and sing at 10:30 a.m. Come give it a try. The Chancel Choir will begin singing September 3 and we welcome anyone who wishes to join us. We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.

 

THE LISTENING ELDER FOR AUGUST will be available for listening in the Narthex after the worship service. Feel welcome to convey to her any matter in our congregation’s life that you would like to have passed on to the Session.

 

PASTOR EXCHANGE AUGUST 27. Suzanne Hayes, Overbrook member and pastor of Old First Church will lead worship at Overbrook and Reverend Leety will preach at Old First. Betsy Maurath, our new Children/Youth Coordinator will be the liturgist.
