FOR YOUR INFORMATION

TODAY’S CONCERNED DEACON is wearing a yellow carnation, she will be available in the Narthex after worship to hear your concerns.

TODAY IS THE LAST SUNDAY of the 8:30 a.m. Morning Prayer Services. Beginning next Sunday we will only have the regular Service for The Lord’s Day at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

FUN BAND REHEARSAL AGAIN TODAY! Please meet in Fellowship Hall following worship from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m.. We will perform next Sunday following the Neighborhood Network Lunch. This looks to be a real fun group. Any questions, or if you need an instrument, see Sarah Shaffer.

NEIGHBORHOOD NETWORK SUNDAY – AUGUST 6, 2006! By now you should have received a postcard from your Deacon. Please RSVP to your Deacon your regrets or attendance to Network Sunday as soon as possible so that we know how many to expect. There is a luncheon being served following the service, so please let your Deacon know if you will be attending that as well. This annual event is a time to see old friends, make new ones, meet your deacons and listen to musicians at the service. The sacrament of communion will be served.

JOYTIME NEXT SUNDAY is the responsibility of the Wellness Committee. Someone will meet the children at the Sanctuary doors following the Word with Children and take them to Room 101 for a bible lesson, craft and snack.

DEACONS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRINITY LUNCHES TODAY. Meet in the downstairs kitchen to make sandwiches, bag cookies, chips and drinks into lunch sacks. Next Sunday the Properties/JBRC Committees are responsible for the Trinity Lunches.

COOKIES ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED! When Overbrook is responsible for Trinity Lunches we prepare 150 lunches each time. We put 3 cookies per bag and so consequently we will need 450 cookies for next Sunday. Please put them in the downstairs kitchen.

NEXT SUNDAY IS F.O.O.D. SUNDAY. This month’s contributions go to NNEMAP and they have requested the following items: Sugar, flour, milk (instant or canned), canned meats, vegetables and fruit with pull tab tops, Kool-aid, baby juice and Similac with Iron. Personal Hygiene items are always needed. Please place items in grocery carts in the Narthex. If you forget food, but still want to make a donation, there is an envelope attached to the cart for cash or checks payable to OPC. Last month’s generous donation to CRC was $403.60 in cash and food.

MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD! Have you ever wanted to make that joyful noise in the choir? Well, now is your chance! On Sundays August 13, 20, 27 we will once again have summer choir. Anyone 7th grade on up is welcome. We practice on Sunday mornings at 9:30 and sing at 10:30 a.m. Come give it a try – one or all 3 Sundays.

HELP WANTED! Properties Committee needs volunteers to help trim the bushes on the North side of the church. Please contact Harlan Bockbrader at 267-1340 if you can assist.
