        March 26 & April 2 – “Caring for Creation” – Dr. Fred Hitzhusen, Ph.D.,

        Professor of Agricultural Economics at OSU, will open this series with an

        overview of the moral and economic implications of our care for God’s creation.

CHILDREN’S BULLETINS are available for ages 3-6 and 7-12.  They contain fun, age- appropriate activities related to today’s worship.  The bulletins, along with pencils or crayons, can be found on the table in the Narthex, or by asking an usher for assistance.

 

TODAY’S CONCERNED DEACON is aHHa wearing a yellow carnation, he will be available in the Narthex after worship to hear your concerns.

 

F.O.O.D. SUNDAY donations for March went to Neighborhood Services Inc. and because of your generosity we were able to give $792.00 in food, paper products and personal care needs. This amount does not include any monetary donations that were made. WAY TO GO!

 

NEW BEGINNINGS, a group for all singles will meet in the South Parlor today immediately following the worship service for a potluck luncheon. Even though you may have forgotten to prepare a dish, you are welcome to attend.

 

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP GAME NIGHT! Meet after choir, around 5:45 p.m. in the Senior High Room. Following dinner we will play your favorite games. Bring snacks and a friend.

 

SARAH CIRCLE (formerly Circle II) meets March 21 at 9:30 a.m. The study will be Lesson VI – Lent.

PRESCHOOL ART SHOW SILENT AUCTION AND OPEN HOUSE next Sunday, March 26, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Visit the various classrooms for artwork made by the children of our Preschool, enjoy refreshments and the many activities for kids. At 2:00 p.m. please join us to dedicate the playground to the memory of Michael Breschi, a dear little boy who loved to play.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE NEEDS YOUR INPUT. Please join us on Sunday, March 26 at 9:15 a.m. in the South Parlor for coffee and conversation. We would like to know what your family thinks about the recently implemented rotation Sunday School Program for elementary aged children and what you would like to see in the future.

 

MARCH 26 - FOURTH NIGHT TAIZE SERVICE. “It relieves my stress.” “It gives me such peace.” “I feel like a weight has been lifted from me.” “I’m a busy mother and it revitalizes me for the week ahead.” These are comments from people who attend the 4th Night Taize Service. Why not come next week and see for yourself? Led by Rev. Jon Siehl who is also a cantor.  Rev. Linda McClanahan leads the Horizons Bible Study and the Faith & Fiction group will discuss the book “March” by Geraldine Brooks.                           .

 

DINNER TICKETS ON SALE NOW! The Annual Youth Fellowship Italian Dinner is March 25, 2006 and tickets are now on sale. The dinner starts at 5:30 with appetizers in the Narthex and continues in Fellowship Hall. We will have the usual fare of salad, spaghetti, garlic bread, beverage, and dessert. Ticket prices remain at $5.00 and children under 12 $3.50 and can be purchased on Sunday mornings in the Narthex or at the door. The profits from the dinner will go toward the Youth Mission Trip and Youth Programs.

 

INQUIRERS’ COURSE SCHEDULED for next Sunday, March 26, April 2 & April 9 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. in the Library. Session will meet with prospective members on April 9 prior to the worship service. If you are not able to attend all of the classes, come to as many as you can. Please let the church office know if you plan to attend.

 

HELP BEAUTIFY THE SANCTUARY FOR EASTER. You may begin placing your orders for Easter Lilies or Spring Flowers. The sign-up sheet is on the table in the Narthex. New this year, you have a choice of ordering Easter lilies or a mixed variety of spring flowers.  The price remains at $6.50 each and can be purchased in honor or memory of someone special or loved ones. Plants can be taken from the Sanctuary following the 10:30 a.m. April 16, Easter Service.
