*CALL TO WORSHIP

Praise the Lord!

   I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,

            in the company of the upright, in the congregation.

Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them.

   Full of honor and majesty is his work,

           and his righteousness endures forever.

PROCESSIONAL HYMN # 343                                Called as Partners in Christ’s Service

*CONFESSION OF WHO WE ARE                                                            on Psalm 111:1/wrl

The Psalmist writes, “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.”

Lord, we do not thank you with whole hearts.

We blend thank-you’s with complaints about yesterday

   and worries for tomorrow;

then clog our vessels with excuses for half-heartedness.

Forgive half-baked gratitude, half-lived faith, Lord,

   and renew the muscle at our core

   to do the heavy lifting of praise and thanks in Jesus Christ.

*ASSURANCE OF WHOSE WE ARE                                                         on Psalm 111:4/wrl

            God has gained renown by wonderful deeds;

The Lord is gracious and merciful.

    Thanks be to God.

*THE PEACE

The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Peace be with you.
