God’s steadfast love endures forever.
*PROCESSIONAL HYMN # 80 Jesus Walked This
*LITANY OF CONFESSION & ASSURANCE
from Seasons of the Spirit Congregation Life:
Lent, Easter
Like
our ancestors in the faith, sometimes we grow impatient and lose our trust.
When
that happens:
Heal
and forgive us, O God.
Sometimes
fear and mistrust get the best of us, and we respond harshly
or
in panic, or we hide. When that happens:
Heal
and forgive us, O God.
Sometimes
we ignore you, God. We know what you want us to do,
yet
we do otherwise. We are easily influenced by others. When that happens:
Heal and forgive us, O God.
Sometimes
we think we have to earn your love, and we don’t feel good enough.
Sometimes
we think we’re better than others, or that we deserve your love.
When
that happens:
Heal
and forgive us, O God.
Sometimes
we live as if you were far away, and had never come to live among us.
When
that happens:
Heal
and forgive us, O God. (time for
silent, personal confession)
Hear
the good news:
“It
is by God’s grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result
of
your own efforts, but God’s gifts, so that
no one can boast about it.”
So
know that God loves you and has saved you.
Thanks be to God!
*THE PEACE
The peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Peace
be with you.

of peace)
