Gold and Matthew J. Perlman, Where Does
God Live?
Skylight Paths Publishing
“Where
does God live?” was the question she had.
“God lives in us all!” said her mom and her dad.
“God’s all there is and all that you see!”
But
I still don’t see God, so how can it be?”
“That’s ‘cause you’re looking with just your eyes…
look
into your heart and you’ll see God inside.”
“So
I’ll see God through the eyes of my heart!”
“Exactly,”
they said, “that’s just how you start!
You’ll
see that God lives in things big and things small.
You’ll
find God is everywhere—the ALL in
all.
God
lives in the sun and the black sky of night,
God lives in the dark, God lives in the light.

*CONFESSION OF WHO WE ARE (Unison) on Romans 12: 7-10/Carol Fleming
God
of all power:
We confess that our image of strength
is Samson, lunging through life by strong will and brute force,
with dauntless courage and superhuman
power,
intimidating enemy and friend alike;
rather than Jesus, a disappointment to
those who seek a mighty savior,
walking his way with gentle touch and fierce teachings,
inviting enemy and friend alike to his
empty tomb.
Forgive us, God, and teach us strength
that comes to fullness
in what the world calls foolishness and
weakness.
(a
time for personal confession) Amen.
*HYMN # 345 (Verse 1)

*ASSURANCE OF WHOSE WE
ARE on Isaiah 40: 29
God
gives power to the faint,
and
increases the strength of those who have no might.
God
knows our weakness and replenishes us to love and serve.
In
Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
*THE PEACE
The
peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Peace
be with you. (worshipers share words
and gestures of peace)
