4th NIGHT ACTIVITIES tonight begin at 6:30 p.m. with a Taize Worship followed by the L.I.F.T. groups. Deb Bowsher leads the Horizons Bible Study and the Faith and Fiction group discusses the book “Andy Catlett-Early Travels” by Wendell Berry.

 

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP TONIGHT continues planning for Youth Sunday. The 30-hour famine lock-in originally scheduled for April 27 & 28 has been postponed until later this fall. The youth will usher during the worship service on April 29 and have no evening meeting.

 

INQUIRERS’ CLASS BEGINS NEXT SUNDAY and runs May 6, 13 & 20th at 9:00 a.m. in the Library. If you or someone you know would be interested in considering membership in Overbrook, please make a note on the friendship pad or notify the church office.

 

TRINITY LUNCHES NEXT SUNDAY are the responsibility of Add A Couple II. Please meet in the kitchen following worship to make sandwiches, bag cookies and pack sacks.

 

OVERBROOK PRESCHOOL ART SHOW AND OPEN HOUSE is scheduled for April 29th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Tour our facility, enjoy refreshments, have fun with our magician. There will be face painting, hands on art and a sing-a-long for the kids. A wide variety of baskets will be in the Narthex to bid on for the silent auction.

 

A SEDER MEAL returns to Overbrook on May 20, 2007. Look for a table in the Narthex to pick up a meal assignments beginning May 6th.

 

HOW WOMEN OF FATIH ARE CHANGING THE WORLD. Katharine Henderson, author of God’s Troublemakers, will be speaking at North Broadway United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m. Katharine is an ordained Presbyterian minister, who for the past decade has been the executive vice president of Auburn Theological Seminary in New York City. The topic of her presentation is Sustaining Your Spirit While Working to Change the World. More information is on the bulletin board outside the office.
