A TRADITION RETURNS. Were you part of the Overbrook family in the mid 1990? Then you remember the very special Seder meals shared here! This Jewish family tradition returns May 20th at 5:30 p.m. The Seder reminds Israelites of the wonders of faith. Thoroughly based in historical events, a Seder celebrates God and his gracious work in the world. Jesus adopted the service as a sacramental remembrance of God’s reconciling work in the Lord, allowing Christians to celebrate this ancient festival. You and your whole family are invited to become part of this tradition. Sign up for the dinner by calling the church office. Chicken and lamb are offered as main dish choices. Those sharing the meal are invited, but not required, to use our recipe cards to make a side dish to share with all.

THE SMELL OF SALT WATER IS IN THE AIR. The theme for this year’s Vacation Bible School is the Great Bible Reef. One of the crafts we are doing requires baby food jars. We realize that most of you do not have little ones around anymore but maybe there are grand babies or neighbors with small children. We need approximately 45-50 jars by June 18. Start collecting now. There is a box in the Narthex.
