ADULT FORUM continues
a series on “Other Faiths in the World”.
Today we welcomed Dr. Norman Hosansky, a member of Congregation Tifreth
NEW BEGINNINGS, a group for all singles will meet in the South Parlor today immediately
following the worship service, for a potluck luncheon. Even though you may have
forgotten to prepare a dish, you are welcome to attend.
THE FUN BAND rehearses
today from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. They are gearing up for their semi-annual concert
on February 25. For questions, contact Sarah Shaffer.
YOUTH FELLOWSHIP meets tonight at 5:45 p.m. in Room 33 for pizza and a movie. Bring a
friend, snack and your favorite drink. We should be finished by 8:00.
MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP meets this Wednesday, February 21 at 7:30
a.m. at Bear Rock Café in
SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE DINNER is this Tuesday, February 20 from 5:00 – 7:00
p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Pancakes, sausage and fruit are on the menu. There is
no charge for this meal, but a free-will offering is taken.
THE SACRAMENT OF COMMUNION will be celebrated on Ash Wednesday, February 21 by intinction and regular communion on February 25, the first Sunday of Lent in the pews during the worship service.
LISTENING ELDER FOR FEBRUARY will be available for listening in the
Narthex next Sunday. Feel welcome to convey to him any matter in our
congregation’s life that you would like to have passed on to the Session.
HEAR YE! HEAR YE! In accordance with the bylaws, Session has called the Annual
Congregation Meeting for February 25, 2007 following worship. The meeting, in Fellowship Hall over lunch,
is for the purposes of reviewing annual reports, setting the terms of call of
the pastor, electing Deacons, and honoring Volunteers of the Year Paul and
Cheryl. Our Overbrook Fun Band will make
a guest appearance.
4TH NIGHT TAIZE WORSHIP NEXT SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 25. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. Reverend Jonathan Siehl leads The Taize worship. At 7:00 p.m. the L.I.F.T. groups gather. Deb Bowsher leads the Horizons Bible Study and the Faith and Fiction group will discuss the book “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.
