of the Church, part of the Preliminary Principles of our Church.
The great ends of the church are the proclamation of
the gospel for the salvation of humankind; the shelter, nurture, and spiritual

preservation of the truth; the promotion of social righteousness; and the exhibition
of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world.
Wednesday, we take up
“shelter, nurture, and spiritual fellowship.”
After a soup supper—bring a simple dish of “finger food” to share—we
meet in the Parlor from 7:15 to 8:15 to hear Dr. Jeffrey Jaynes, Professor at

DINNER GROUPS NOW FORMING. With the New Year comes a new opportunity to join a
dinner group! Dinner groups consist of
six to nine individuals who get together to share meals and fun. Typically the
groups will meet three or four times during the year, taking turns as
host. Most dinner groups operate as a
potluck, but each group makes it own plan.
This year at least one group will dine out exclusively. Sign up for dinner groups with the
office.
