CLEMENTINES: The

joined forces to raise money for the CRC Food Pantry by selling bags of
Clementines. The bags are $2 each. All proceeds go to the CRC Food Pantry. The
fundraiser ends January 31. Mission Council supports this fundraiser.
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT! Neighborhood Services Inc., another one of our
F.O.O.D. Sunday receivers, wrote to thank us for our support during 2006.
During 2006 they were able to assist 400 families with Holiday Food Boxes. NSI
serves about 700 persons a month through their food pantry and clothing room,
42% of those we provide food for are children and youth under the age of 16
SOUP MAKERS NEEDED! It is not too early to start thinking about Lent and our Lenten Worship
Services, Stone Soup Dinners and Guest Speakers. Lent begins with Ash
Wednesday, February 21, and our last Wednesday program is March 28. If you are
willing to make soup for any of these six Wednesday evenings, please sign up in
the church office.
“NOURISH YOUR HEART FOR THE JOURNEY.” Come and take a day away from the grey weather, the
noise and scurry of daily life to re-energize your soul. Join us in retreat on
February 3rd as we take time to explore who we are as spiritual beings, learn
how you can re-connect with the Holy Spirit and actually allow yourself the
gift of time so you can re-experience walking with Christ. Please call Deb
Bowsher, 309-0417, for details and RSVP!
OPEN SHELTER DONATIONS GREATLY APPRECIATED! We think of helping the homeless and hungry people
mainly during the holidays but this is a year-round problem. We will leave the
donation box in the Narthex to continue our collection of toiletries, t-shirts,
etc. We will take the donations to the Open Shelter periodically.
