LAST WEDNESDAY LENT SERVICE. This Wednesday, March 27, we worship in the Chapel beginning at 6 p.m.  The focus of the services is the Great Ends of the Church, part of the Preliminary Principles of our Church; this week, “the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world.” After a soup supper—bring a simple dish of “finger food” to share—we meet in the Parlor from 7:15 to 8:15 to hear Dana Knapp, Executive of the Scioto Valley Presbytery, talk about The Confession of 1967.

ADULT FORUM NEXT WEEK. Rick Herrmann, Director of the Mershon Center at the Ohio State University and a professor of political science at OSU, will discuss his assessment of Iraq policy and America’s involvement on the ground.

NEXT SUNDAY IS F.O.O.D. SUNDAY! This month’s contributions go to Community Resources Center. They have requested the following: Canned soups, tuna, tooth paste and feminine hygiene products. Please place items in grocery carts in the Narthex. Your help is greatly appreciated by those who operate and those who use food pantries. Last month’s generous donation of $136.00 went to Neighborhood Services.

TRINITY LUNCHES FOR APRIL are the responsibility of the Women’s Circles. Meet in the downstairs kitchen following the worship service next Sunday to make sandwiches, bag cookies and pack sacks.

DID YOU PICK UP A COAT BY MISTAKE? After the worship service two weeks ago, a black L.L. Bean women’s ¾ length coat, size 12 was taken by mistake and a black double-breasted short coat was left. If you find it, please notify the church office.

“SEE YOU LATER”, the CD produced by Elmer Fischer is on sale in the Narthex. The songs on the CD deal with the word “see” and what that word means to a blind person. CDs sell for $12.00, and profits support the Youth/Adult Mission Trip to Pittsburgh. CDs make great gifts. Buy one for yourself.

DINNER GROUPS NOW FORMING. Each group consists of six to nine diners who get together to share meals and fun. Typically the groups meet three or four times during the year, members taking turns as host. Each group makes its own plan.  This year at least one group will dine out each time.  Sign up for dinner groups by contacting the office.  If you have questions, call Carol Bessey at 263-4869.

OVERBROOK TO HOLD ELECTIONS. The 2007 Nominating Committee is looking for a few good members to serve on the boards and committees of this church. Ballots can be found in your bulletins or in the Narthex next to the ballot box. You may nominate yourself, or someone you feel is a good candidate. When the Nominating Committee calls on you, please prayerfully consider serving.

NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES has several job openings which are posted on the bulletin board outside the church office. This is one of the food pantries Overbrook supports.
