*CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 100:1-3, Chalice Worship
Make
a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the
Lord with gladness; come into God’s presence with singing.
Know that
the Lord is God.
It is God that made us, and we are God’s;
we are God’s people, and the sheep of
God’s pasture.
*PROCESSIONAL HYMN # 430 Come
Sing, O Church, in Joy!
*CONFESSION OF WHO WE ARE on Psalm 14:2 & 3/wrl
“The Lord looks down from heaven on humankind…there is
no one who does good,
no, not
one.”
Lord,
we contend that some of us are better than others.
We want to believe that you see as we do—
degrees of
bad and good, worse and better—
and grade
on the curve.
Instead you see
us all in need of love and mercy.
Give us your
eyes, on your world,
and give us mercy not just to hoard, but to
share with others, in Jesus.
(time for silent, personal
confession) Amen.
* THE PEACE
The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Peace be with you.
(worshipers share words and gestures of
peace)
