9:00 A.M. ADULT FORUM TODAY: Rev. John Nganga updates on Rafiki and offers insight on the current political issues in Kenya where the Rafiki continues to build an orphanage for children whose families are decimated by AIDS epidemic.

DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE Sign up in the Narthex today for the AARP Defensive Driving Course sponsored by Overbrook Wellness Committee and AARP.  It is a two-day course:  May 6 & 8.  On both days class runs in the Parlor from 8:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. The class is limited to 25 people, so sign-up early.

 

OVERBROOK SERVES YWCA FAMILY CENTER TODAY  Sign-up on the wall across from the Parlor.  If you want to car-pool meet at the church at 4:45 p.m.

 

WOMEN OF OVERBROOK meet Monday, April 14, at 10 a.m. in the South Parlor to watch Faith Lesson #1 -“Standing at the Crossroads.”  Helen Mohler brings devotions.

 

WOMEN OF OVERBROOK BIBLE STUDY GROUP will study Lesson 6 from Horizon Study Book entitled “Love That Goes Above and Beyond the Call of Duty,” (Ruth Chapter 1 as reference). You’re welcome to attend on Tuesday, April 15 at 9:30 a.m. in the Parlor.

 

MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP meets Wednesday, April 16 at 7:30 a.m. at Tee Jays Country Place (Morse & High). All men are welcome.

 

NEW BEGINNINGS, a group for all singles, meets Sunday, April 20 in the Parlor for a potluck lunch immediately following the worship service.

 

PREPARING THE WAY – Youth/Adult Mission Trip to Colcord WV  June 14—21. The first organizational meeting for all who plan to go is Sunday, April 20 following worship.

 

OVERBROOK PRESCHOOL ANNUAL ART SHOW AND OPEN HOUSE is April 27, 2008 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Activities include a large display of children’s art, hands-on art activities, sing-a-longs, and other entertainment.  The public is invited—bring a neighbor!

 

SAVE THE DATE!  Property Committee Annual Spring Clean-Up Day is Saturday, May 17, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Please gather with them to spruce up the churchyard and plant flowers.
