TODAY’S CONCERNED DEACON is wearing a yellow carnation, she’s in the Narthex after worship to hear concerns.

 

TODAY IS FOOD SUNDAY. This month’s contributions go to Neighborhood Services and they have requested the following items: canned meats (no tuna), hamburger & tuna helper, feminine hygiene products, all types of paper products and toiletries. Place food items in the grocery carts in the Narthex. To donate money please use the large envelope attached to the cart for cash, or checks made payable to Overbrook Church. All donations are appreciated.

 

EASTER FLOWERS ON SALE! The sign-up sheet for ordering flowers is in the church office. Deadline for ordering is March 17. Again this year you may order either Easter lilies or spring flowers and the price remains at $6.50 each. Plants can be purchased in memory or in honor of someone dear to you.

 

TRINITY LUNCHES TODAY are the responsibility of the Membership and Personnel Committees. Meet in the kitchen after the service to make sandwiches, bag cookies and pack sacks.

 

ONE SUNDAY WITH REV. LEETY. Join Bill Leety at 11:45 a.m. today in the South Parlor for a discussion on Security and Torture.

 

THOSE INTERESTED IN PLAYING CARDS meet in the Parlor today from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Bring the cards you like to play. The more the merrier.

 

ELIJAH COMES FIRST CONTINUES Wednesday, March 5 in the Parlor at 7:30 p.m. Focusing on 1 Kings 21: 1-29, Dr. Brad Binau will comment on “It’s Not Over Till God Says It’s Over”. Ahab and Jezebel steal a vineyard, but God intervenes. Come at 6:30 for the soup supper and/or for prayer at 7:15 too!

ATTENTION RINGERS AND SINGERS! All Canterbury ringers, Westminster Choir and Carol Choirs will be singing and ringing on Sunday, March 16th Palm Sunday, so please mark your calendars!

 

GET READY TO EAT! The Youth Fellowship Groups are holding their Annual Italian Dinner on Saturday, March 15, 2008. The dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. with appetizers in the Narthex and continues in Fellowship Hall. Tickets may be purchased in the Narthex before and after Sunday services beginning today.

 

WEST VIRGINIA is where Overbrook adults and youth will travel to provide valuable service June 14-21. While there, we will work in conjunction with The West Virginia Ministry of Advocacy and Workcamps, a ministry of the Presbytery of West Virginia, to partner with those in need whose lives have been devastated by natural disasters or by the disaster of poverty.
