WELCOME, VISITORS & GUESTS - Sign the Friendship Pad in the pew pocket; with your address and phone number.  Use a visitor nametag so that we can greet and welcome you. After worship, visit the Information Center in the Narthex.

 

WORSHIP BAGS - Fun Sunday worship bags are available at the entrance to the Sanctuary for children Pre-K – 5th grade. The blue basket is for Pre-K – 2nd grade and the red basket is for grades 3-5. Please take a bag for your child and afterwards return the bag to the baskets.

PRESCHOOL PARKING LOT ATTENDANTS NEEDED! If you are willing to give 1 to 1 1/2 hours one morning or afternoon a week or as a substitute, contact Dr. Joyce Matthews.

 

LENDING A HELPING HAND - The church secretary is at it again. She was approached by COVA (Center of Vocational Alternatives) to see if she would be willing to train Lorena Schwenk to work in an office setting. Under Lorie’s supervision she is learning to use different office equipment, honing computer skills and increasing stamina. Stop to say hello.

 

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP TO SELL CHRISTMAS WREATHS - The wreaths are 20 inches in diameter and come with a red bow and 3 pine cones. They sell for $18 and buyers can pick them up on November 30th.  Place your order in the Narthex today.  Proceeds support the 2009 Mission Trip.

 

ADULT FORUM  - November 16 welcome Dr. Herb Asher, Professor Emeritus, Political Science OSU. He will give an analysis of the presidential election

 

BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS in Bill Leety’s office today from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 – 12:00 noon.

 

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITY TODAY.  Meet in the Narthex at 12:00 noon. We will have a bite to eat and then go and rake leaves of Overbrook members that need our help.

 

WE SERVE THE YWCA FAMILY CENTER TODAY - Sign-up to supply food or serve the evening meal. Sign-up sheets are next to the Parlor bulletin board.  Jesus says, “Whoever among you would be great must be servant of all.”

BEREAVEMENT MEETING – NOVEMBER 10 - Overbrook members who have experienced a death of a family member or friend are invited to think about "First Thanksgiving and Christmas" since the death of a loved one. Meet in the Parlor at 7 p.m. to remember our losses, plan for holidays and hear from others engaged in this same blessed chore. Jon Siehl and Bill Leety lead. We’ll have light snacks and finish by 9 p.m.

 

MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP Meets this Wednesday, November 12 at 7:30 a.m. at Tee Jays Country Place (Morse and High). All men are welcome.

 

FALL CLEAN-UP DAY - Property Committee sets Fall Clean-Up Day for Saturday, November 15th, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Mark your calendars now, so that you can help ready church property for winter. Bring rakes and gloves.

 

FESTIVAL OF CAROLS AND POETRY - You are invited to join with the Chancel and Westminster Choirs and a String Ensemble to get into the Christmas Spirit. On Sunday, December 21, at 4:00 p.m. we will present Hal H. Hopson’s Sing Noel! You are invited to be part of the choir. Come to rehearse with us on Thursday, November 13, 20 and December 4, 11, and 18 from 8:15-9:00 p.m. We will have a mass rehearsal with the orchestra on Saturday, December 20 at 10:30 a.m. and the celebration on Sunday, December 21.

 

NEW BEGINNINGS, a group for all singles, meets next Sunday, November 16 in the South Parlor for a potluck luncheon immediately following the worship service.

 

UPCOMING YOUTH EVENTS (Grades 6 – 12) - November 16 we have movie night and rehearsal for the Christmas Musical. Then on November 23 game night and rehearsal for the Christmas Musical.

 

DIABETIC SCREENINGS NOVEMBER 16 - in the Conference Room at 11:45 a.m. These screenings are sponsored by the Wellness Committee.
