*CALL TO WORSHIP from Isaiah 49:15-16a
As a mother cannot forget her
nursing child, neither will God forget God’s people.
We are written on the palms of
God’s hands.
Let us sing with God for God’s constant love.
*PROCESSIONAL HYMN # 435 We
All Are One in
*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH & THE PEACE on Gospel Lesson, Matthew 6:24—34/wrl
In faith, we do not worry about our lives,
what we are to eat,
or about our bodies and how to clothe them.
Life means
more than food; bodies more than clothes.
Look at birds
in the sky that don’t plant, harvest or store; God feeds them!
Though we are
worth far more than birds,
we cannot fret
ourselves into living longer or better.
Because God
knows our need,
we do not fear lack
of food or drink or clothing—we aren’t worriers!
We set our
hearts and fix our faith on God’s rule first, on God’s right living,
trusting all these other things will be given us as well.
The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Peace be with you.
(Worshipers
exchange words and gestures of the peace of Christ)
