or honor, or to mark an important occasion or date, are reserved on first-come
basis.
PRESBYTERIAN CAMPUS MINISTRY FOR OSU is now being done by a coalition of Presbyterian
churches in the area, so there will be new opportunities for our congregation
to serve and be involved. Our first need is for a volunteer to maintain the
student email database and do simple announcement updates to the website (http://www.osucampusmin.org/). Please
contact Pastor Michael if you have an interest in volunteering for this aspect
or any part of the ministry (mludwig@overbrookchurch.org).
AS ABLE WE GIVE – So far Stewardship has received 161
pledges totaling $343,485. The projected budget for 2010 is 537,800, a
difference of $194,315. If you can
estimate an amount you will give in support of Christ’s work at Overbrook for
2010, or if you cannot at this time estimate and will give as able, fill out a
giving card; or respond to the e-mail reminder to be sent later this month. Cards
are in the office or in the Narthex beside the pledge box. Stewardship and
Finance Committees thank you for your help in planning 2010.
YEAR END GIVING - End of year gifts to Overbook, in order
to be considered on 2009 Tax Returns must be received by the church office by
December 31.
Following a difficult year,
many may not have the same need to reduce their tax burden as in past years. Consider
opportunities that exist for donations to Overbrook versus opportunities for
payment of taxes. Get the biggest return on your dollars. Give a gift to
Overbrook and watch how it gives back to you, and to our community. Reports of
Giving for 2009 will be mailed in January.
WE

2010 either. Happy New Year!
CHRISTMAS CAROL BUFFET was a great success. Everyone enjoyed the great
