SERVE
TRINITY LUNCHES TODAY are the responsibility of Fellowship/Finance
Committees because June has five Mondays. Meet in the kitchen following worship
to make sandwiches, bag cookies and pack sacks. Then next Sunday, July 5, we do
it again and Session is responsible.
COOKIES ARE NEEDED!!! Overbrook provides lunches for homeless
men all year long the first and fifth Mondays. We provide sandwiches, chips,
cookies and drinks for 150 lunches. With 3 cookies per bag that equates to 450
cookies needed each month or more if there are 5 Mondays. Help keep the freezer
full by baking a couple dozen cookies.
F.O.O.D. SUNDAY – Next Sunday, July 5, contributions are
designated for CRC. They request: toilet paper, paper towels, diapers,
detergent, personal hygiene products, tuna, soup, pop-top meals, and juice. The
food donations from VBS will also be going to CRC.
SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM – This summer is Overbrook’s 6th
year serving lunch to children who get free lunches during the school year.
Lunches are served June 29 – July 2 at Broadmeadows Park at 12 noon. This year
each serving church is asked to collect donations of specific personal care
products and Overbrook has been assigned toothpaste. A collection sack is in
the Narthex for your donations.
WE
LEARN
JOY TIME - Following the Moment with the Young,
children are escorted to Room 101 for Joytime. The Membership Committee is
responsible for leading the class this week and providing a snack. Next week
Mission Committee leads. We encourage you to pick up your materials in Room 101
before hand so that you are familiar with the lesson.
SUMMER BIBLE STUDY CONTINUES. Cheryl Hubbard has again graciously
offered to lead a summer bible study on various Psalms “Singing God’s Praises”.
Classes begin right after worship at 10:45 a.m. and run through August 23 in
the South Parlor.
WE GATHER
FUN BAND REHEARSAL TODAY - 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. We
play to lead worship on Sunday, July 5. If you have questions, ask Sarah
Shaffer.
YANKEE DOODLE PICNIC – Join the Fellowship Committee in celebrating
Independence Day with a picnic on July 4th. We gather at 6 p.m. for a potluck
dinner. Hotdogs and ice cream are provided. Bring a dish to share. There are
crafts, games for kids and door prizes to be won. After dinner enjoy the
Whetstone fireworks.
