YWCA FAMILY CENTER TODAY – Overbrook serves Mother’s Day supper. Sign-up on the board across from the Parlor to donate food or serve the meal.

 

SPRING CLEAN-UP - Property Committee calls members to Clean-Up Day, Sat., May 16, 9 a.m. to noon. Plant flowers & spruce up the yard. Bring gloves, rakes, small shovels.

 

SESSION MEETS WITH CONFIRMANDS – May 16 at 4 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, after confirmands polish statements of faith and bake bread for Pentecost communion.  Session serves dinner to confirmands and their families at 5:30 in Fellowship Hall.

 

MOZART’S CAFÉ TO HOST A DINNER FOR CRC - Monday, May 11, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Mozart’s 2885 N. High St. location. Space is limited and an RSVP is required. Price is $45 per person or $80 for two. MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP meets Wednesday, May 13, at 7:30 a.m. at Tee Jays Country Place (Morse & High). All men are welcome.

 

CHRISTIANITY’S FAMILY TREE - join us Sunday, May 17 at 11:45 a.m. in the South Parlor as we learn about the Roman Catholic faith and traditions with Father Noon, a retired priest.

 

CUB SCOUT RECRUITMENT NIGHT – We will be signing up new scouts for Pack 74 on Monday, May 11, from 7-8 p.m. at Indian Springs School, 50 E. Henderson Rd. There will be games, s’mores and plenty of people to answer all questions. All boys currently in Kindergarten through 4th grade are eligible to join. Cost is $25 to sign up. INQUIRERS’ COURSE – Sundays, May 17, 24, 31 at 9:15 in the S. Parlor for those considering membership in Overbrook.

 

VBS KICKOFF MEETING is scheduled Sunday, May 17, following worship, in the South Parlor. Come and be a part of the fun!  Free food!  Bring a friend to help!

 

WOMEN OF OVERBROOK BIBLE STUDY meets Tuesday, May 19, at 9:30 a.m. in the Parlor to complete our study of Jubilee, Luke’s Gospel for the Poor. Chapter 9 lesson is taken from Luke 18: 9-14, 19: 1-10. You are welcome.

 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL JUNE 22-26 - a week camping …but not overnight! That’s right! Overbrook CAMP EDGE is the place to be! Experience + Discover GOD Everywhere. Invite friends to Columbus’ #1campground, 6 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. Get registration forms at either entrance to the building. Deadline for registrations is June 19.

A FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEON – is being hosted by the Women’s Bible Study group on THURSDAY, JUNE 4th at 12 o’clock in the Parlor. We invite you to join us for an afternoon of fellowship and ”MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC” by Nancy and Sarah. The price for this fun event is one delicious sandwich to share (any kind from PB/J to BLT, wraps, croissants, etc.) salad, dessert and beverage will be provided. YOU CAN HELP!  Youth Mission Trip travels in June to Camp Westminster on Higgins Lake in Roscommon, Mich.  Westminster offers summer camp experience to urban children & youth. Youth Fellowship invites you to partner with them for this important mission work by buying “Stock Shares”. Price per share is $5. Order forms are available at both entrances to church. We have 5 youth & 2 adults committed to the trip with more to come!
