FAITH & FICTION BOOK GROUP meets Sunday, January 24, 7 p.m. in the Library to discuss Marcus Zuzak’s The Book Thief. 4TH NIGHT TAIZE WORSHIP – Taize worship will be held in the Parlor on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 6:15 p.m. instead of the 4th Sunday, due to Jon Siehl being out of town. There are candles, chanting and scriptures. If anyone is interested, Jon Siehl will be conducting a workshop on Taize worship on Monday afternoon, January 25, 2010, around 1:00 p.m. at the Ohio Council of Churches annual conference. I can provide more details in case you are interested, or check out OCC’s website.

STAYWELL GROUP RETURNS. Rev. Jon Siehl is offering a seven week holistic health group beginning January 31, 2010. The purpose of the group is to enhance our health by looking at how our physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual sides of ourselves interact with each other in healthy and unhealthy ways. Participants are invited to identify something they would like to change about themselves to work on as a goal thought the seven weeks. Each session lasts 75-90 minutes. Tentative meeting time is following church on Sundays. Teens, adults and seniors are welcome to participate. Sign up in the office if you plan to attend.

SOUP MAKERS NEEDED!!! Lent Wednesday soup suppers begin February 24 when we host Dr. Paul Kim, our lecturer on Isaiah. We need a soup-maker or team of soup-makers for 5 Wednesday nights. Meals for this fasting season are soup, salad and maybe dessert. Prepare to feed 30-40 people. This is a great way to serve the Lord as well as fellow Christians. Sign-up sheet is in the office for Wednesdays, February 24 thru March 24.

REMINDER! Staff and Committee Annual Reports will be printed soon for distribution. If yours hasn’t been turned in, HURRY!
