STEWARDSHIP
means much more than just financial support. It includes giving of ourselves.
How might you give of yourself? You can participate in any of the “doorstep
ministries” listed in the Bulletin insert or those yet to be developed. You can
use your creativity and talents in developing additional ways we can reach out
to help God’s people and His world. You can participate in upcoming interviews
or surveys regarding the gifts, expertise, and time that you might be willing
to share. You can volunteer to help at Overbrook Church and/or serve as an
Elder, Deacon or on a Committee. And, if you have not done so already, you can
return your 2010 Pledge Card to the Church office or by e-mailing your pledge
of support to Stewardship@overbrookchurch.org.
WE
GATHER
4TH NIGHT

are candles, chanting and scriptures.
STAYWELL GROUP RETURNS. Rev. Jon Siehl is offering a
seven week holistic health group beginning January 31, 2010. The purpose of the
group is to enhance our health by looking at how our physical, emotional,
social, intellectual and spiritual sides of ourselves interact with each other
in healthy and unhealthy ways. Participants are invited to identify something
they would like to change about themselves to work on as a goal throughout the
seven weeks. Each session lasts 75-90 minutes. Tentative meeting time is
following church on Sundays. Teens,
adults and seniors are welcome to participate. Sign up in the office if you
plan to attend.
SOUP MAKERS NEEDED!!! Lent Wednesday soup suppers begin February 24 when we
host Dr. Paul Kim, our lecturer on Isaiah. We need a soup-maker or team of
soup-makers for 5 Wednesday nights. Meals for this fasting season are soup,
salad and maybe dessert. Prepare to feed 30-40 people. This is a great way to
serve the Lord as well as fellow Christians. Sign-up sheet is in the office for
Wednesdays, February 24 thru March 24.
