CONVERSATION TIME AFTER CONGREGATION
MEETING in the
Chapel. Did something in worship touch
you, cause you to reflect? Did God
speak in prayer, music, offering, sermon?
We’ll start discussion with these questions:
1.
In hymn #172
we sing of God’s household, “There would I find a settled rest…No more a
stranger, or a guest, But like a child at home.” Where are places like that for you? With whom?
2.
Jesus tells
a story of “dysfunctional family;” a parent, two children, servants. In which characters do you see or hear yourself? Someone suggests that the church in this
story is the catering team for celebration ordered by the father—what do you
think?
3.
“We have to
celebrate,” father tells his older son.
Can celebration be a command?
SPECIAL LENT/EASTER MUSIC on March 21 during Sunday worship when the
Chancel Choir presents “The Passion of
Christ” by David H. Williams.
