BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS TODAY in Bill Leety’s office from 10:00 -10:30 a.m. and
11:30 – 12:00 noon.
WE SERVE YWCA FAMILY CENTER TODAY. Check the bulletin board across from the Parlor for
any items still needed or to serve the meal.
SPRING CLEAN UP DAY. Properties Committee has scheduled spring clean-up day
for May 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Come help plant flowers and spread
mulch to beautify our church yard.
ALL GENERATIONS SERVICE PROJECT – Come help clean up Whetstone Park in an effort to
serve our community, be good stewards, and share fellowship together. We meet
in our parking lot at 9:30 a.m. and work till noon on Saturday, May 22. Bags,
gloves, and t-shirts will be provided, and childcare will be offered at the
church. See Pastor Michael for more details.

LEARN
HEALTHY COOKING WITH YOUR CHILDREN (4 years and older) – Thursday, May 13 @ 5:30 p.m. You don’t have to have a child to
participate – just one in heart and spirit.
Cooking instruction will be led by Jim Warner, head chef at The Ohio State
University. Chef Warner will focus on easy recipes that can be prepared in your
kitchen with your kids. Cost is free. A
light meal will be served before class begins. Sign-up in the church office to reserve your seat. Space is
limited so sign-up today!
OVERBROOK PRESCHOOL SUMMER ADVENTURE for Preschoolers and ART CAMP for Children (1st through 6th
Grade). Join us July 19-23 or July 26-30. Brochures and applications are
available in the Narthex and at the Preschool entrance. For more information,

YOUNG ADULT CAMP OUT – Saturday, May 15, at the John Beltz Retreat. Tents, campfires, s’mores,
corn-hole and fun times; what more could you ask for? Get the word out to your young adults and young at heart. Contact

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP PARENTS MEETING – Parents of youth going on the mission
trip to Hazard, KY meet at 11:45 on Sunday, May 16 in the Conference Room for the necessary information, plans,
and paperwork!
NEW BEGINNINGS, a group for all singles, meet May 16 in the South Parlor for a
potluck luncheon immediately following the worship service.
RETIREMENT LUNCH – Join Jon & Judy Siehl for lunch on May
23rd, immediately after the church service, in Fellowship Hall. You
bring your favorite dessert to share and Overbrook will provide the drinks,
entrée and three side items. Note: Tell
us, on the attendance pad, if you will be attending and how many. Let us join
together in thanking Jon for his years of caring service to our Overbrook
congregation.
ROSE LUNCHEON – Women of Overbrook invite you to the Rose
Luncheon featuring “Music in the AIR” presented by Steve Wedell and Friends on
Thursday, June 3 at 12 noon. Tickets will be available in the Narthex May 16
& 23. The cost is $10 and includes this outstanding musical presentation and
delicious luncheon fare.
ALTERNATIVE WORSHIP SAMPLE SERVICES – The Task Force on
Alternative Worship invites you to join us in worship before Tuesday committee
meetings on May 11, 25 and June 1. We will worship from 6:45-7:15 p.m. in the
Parlor, providing a condensed sample of the alternative worship services we’re
planning for the Fall. We’d like all who attend to participate in and reflect
on the work the Task Force is doing for the congregation.
