PERSONNEL COMMITTEE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT.  Do you have a used musical instrument that needs a new life and home? A playable clarinet, flute, trumpet, violin, guitar, etc. waiting in a closet or basement to make a joyful noise once again?  The Personnel Committee is sponsoring a musical instrument drive to benefit Dominion Middle School Music Department. Bring donations to the church office.  Instruments should be playable.  Small repairs and reconditioning will be done by the school.

WE GATHER

USE YOUR NAME TAG!  During our baptism, the church says the name by which God knows us.  We help other worshipers know us by wearing that name when we gather.  If you need a new tag, or if you’re new to Overbrook worship, put a note on the pew pad and next week there will be a name tag waiting for you in the rack in the narthex.

CONVERSATION TIME AFTER WORSHIP – Join us in the Chapel if you’d like to talk more about something from today’s worship.  To get us started consider:

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL & ICE CREAM SOCIAL - Sunday, June 6 at 12 noon

in Fellowship Hall. Menu is picnic fare—sloppy joes & barbecue, baked beans, chips, relish tray & strawberries, ice cream & cake. Sign-up in the office to bring a cake, or call 261-1040, or email lellett@overbrookchurch.org.

RIDES TO CHURCH, PARKING ASSISTANCE:  Ushers can provide rides as needed to help worshipers attend Sunday worship.  Call the church office during the week if you know you need a ride.  Ushers can also help with wheelchairs and parking cars as needed.  To be met at the main entrance, phone Sunday before you arrive.

IT’S TIME FOR…RETURN OF THE FUN BAND!!! Yes, if you have been waiting for your opportunity to shine in the band, now is your chance. We practice on Sundays

June 20 and 27 following the church service for one hour. You will be out playing in the sun by 12:00! Brush that dust off that sax and get those embouchures back in shape. The Fun Band will play for church on Sunday, July 4 so we hope to see you there!! Band practice is in Fellowship Hall. See Sarah Shaffer for more details.

SMELL THE ROSES! The first-ever Overbrook Garden Tour will be held in the afternoon of Sunday, July 11.
