In the third stained glass window from the Narthex, on the south or Croswell side of the sanctuary, you see sandals, basin, laver, and towel, reminders of Jesus washing disciples' feet.  It meant at least cool water on those tired dogs after a day in the Palestine sun.  It meant at least cleaning off the heaviest of the day's grit and grime.  It meant at least a servant at their feet.  Jesus said, "As I have done, do to one another."  Disciples tend one another's weariness; clean up one another's days; serve.
